Early-Out Wednesday Programs

Do your kids need something to do on Early-Out Wednesdays?

Beginning September 7, every Early-Out Wednesday from 2:45 to 4:45, we are offering an activity or program for children in 4th-12th grades.  Our Children's Librarian Miss Sue will have a different theme each month! Snacks will be provided!

September's theme will be Gaming Unplugged. We will have board and card games available, or feel free to bring your favorite game to share!

October's theme is Recycling Projects.  We will be making fun crafts from recycled objects, like egg cartons, toilet paper rolls, cereal boxes, etc.

In November we will be making Christmas Cards to give to Sunrise Hill Care and Rehab Center. Note: We will not meet on Nov. 23 since there is no school.

Also, Tama County 4-H and the ISU Extension Office will be offering programs for K-5th graders on the second Wednesday of the month. They will provide a program that includes a story, activity/science experiment, and a craft to go home with you!

There is no fee or registration for these programs. Just come to the library from 3:00-4:30 on the following Early-out Wednesdays for some fun!

Oct. 12, 2022 - You will help create a scarecrow for the Library!  There will also be another craft for you to make and take home.
